Douglas A Hall, D.V.M


Education: Ontario Veterinary College

Dr. Hall graduated in the class of 1969 at the Ontario Veterinary College. He worked at the Belleville Animal Hospital in a mixed practice for the first three years after his graduation. He then joined Dr. Wright at the Dundas Animal Hospital in the fall of 1973 and bought the practice in 1975 when Dr. Wright retired.

Although Dr. Hall enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, he has a special interest in dentistry and surgery, especially orthopedics. In 1991 and 1992 Dr. Hall completed a seven module continuing education course in dentistry and finds the challenge of advanced dentistry very rewarding.

Memberships: Canadian and American Veterinary Dental Society, OVMA (Ontario Veterinary Medical Association), CVMA (Canadian Veterinary Medical Association), HAVM (Hamilton Academy of Veterinary Medicine), Rotary Club of Dundas (Past president and currently treasurer of the club).

Pets: Gidget is a female part long haired Chihuahua who was delivered by caesarian section at the hospital. Dr. Hall also has a whippet that he rescued through the hospital.  His four cats were strays brought to the hospital, Buffy, Peanut, Fluffy and Muffy.

Hobbies & Interests: In his spare time Dr. Hall enjoys golfing and curling at the Dundas Valley Golf and Curling Club.  In the summer he enjoys gardening and camping with his wife and they try to get away for a few weeks to do some travelling during the winter months.
