Your pet’s regular veterinary hospital is best able to provide continuity of care for their patients.

We schedule urgent care appointments, or refer you directly to an emergency clinic depending on the specific emergency situation for your pet.

Please contact your pet’s regular veterinary hospital, if it is not us.  If they are unable to schedule you in, please contact us, or an emergency hospital, and have your veterinarian provide your pet’s medical records for your scheduled urgent care appointment, or emergency visit.

Steps in a Pet Emergency

1. Remain calm
2. Exercise caution – an injured pet in pain may bite or scratch you
3. Attend to immediate, life-threatening issues    Example: if choking, clear airway; if bleeding, apply pressure
4. If poisoning is suspected remember to bring the product package or sample with you
5. If a back injury is suspected, slide pet onto a flat surface and transport with as little movement as possible
6. Bring a friend or family member with you for emotional support, if possible
7. Drive carefully
